Chapuy - History...

Champagne Chapuy is a Family Estate of 6 ha of vineyards. All of the vineyards are planted in the Cote des Blancs with Chardonnay grape-variety which allows to elaborate the fine and light Blanc de Blancs Champagne, that is very typical from this region. Other family plots located in the Coteaux Sud d'Epernay region are planted with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes (3 ha), which are used to produce blended Champagnes of the more fruity and mellow kind.

Chapuy Family is inextricably linked with Oger history because its ancestor's were the mayor of the village since the French Revolution. Wine - growing is stuck in the family Tradition for more than a century, but it was Serge Chapuy who created the actual brand and started in 1952 to commercialize the champagne.

Currently the third generation Chapuy are continuing their everlasting commitment to produce Champagne with a high rare quality under the expert guidance of Arnold Chapuy, the son of the brand founder.
